BAIE  DE  BALY - circuit de 4 jours

DAY 1: Majunga / Boeny Bay: Departure from Majunga in the morning for Boeny Bay (around three hours crossing), west of the Katsepy peninsula. You can practice big game fishing and scuba diving there. There we find the islets of Antsoheribory, an ancient Arab trading post. Antsoheribory was the stronghold of the Kabamba and Manafy sultans in the first half of the 16th century. We can still see the remains of the mosque and the princely residence. The entire eastern part of the island is sacred: it is forbidden to wash there or eat pork. The coral reefs, seagrass beds and shoals to the north of the islet are particularly rich in fish and therefore ideal for diving. The islet is also home to bird colonies and its lush vegetation has some remarkable species, including two varieties of baobabs and large pachypodiums.

Stay program offers Tsangana catamaran four-day tours

DAY 2: Boeny Bay / Marambitsy Bay: In the morning departure for Maroambitsy Bay (about 3 hours of navigation) where we will find shelter for the night. Swimming, diving or snorkeling will be on the program of this stopover in a calm and wonderful site.

DAY 3: Marambitsy Bay / Baly Bay: Morning departure for Baly Bay. Southwest of Majunga, Baly Bay is superb with its idyllic beaches and coral reefs that offer depths to diving enthusiasts. Here lives the spurred tortoise which is the rarest species in Madagascar and endemic birds such as the fish eagle, the sacred ibis, or the Hubert's heron. The National Park is a conservation site for land spurred tortoises and a nesting site for the Ankoay fish eagle. Dotted with dry forest, rivers, lakes and adorned with dunes and a superb coral reef where dolphins and dugongs swim, this region is a place conducive to biodiversity.

DAY 4: Baly Bay / Majunga : Departure early in the morning for a return to Majunga. It will take us about 12 hours to return to Majunga and for those who enjoy it, you can practice trolling with sometimes great catches (jacks, barracudas, tuna or wahoo). Arrival on Majunga at the end of the afternoon for disembarkation.

Nb: Stopovers and travel times may be subject to change depending on the weather situation or your request.
